Balçık’s journey began in 1959, at the point where our founder Süleyman Balçık brought together technical knowledge, practice and an entrepreneurial spirit. The electrical knowledge he acquired during his military service — above all Ohm’s law — was for him not a theoretical concept but a tool that turned directly into production. He sourced chromium-nickel wire, built his own workbench and began producing each element by calculating, measuring and improving.
Conditions were limited, but the approach was clear: treat difficulties as processes to be managed, make learning and improvement an inseparable part of production, and never compromise on honesty. Over time this approach became a production discipline, a quality standard, a company culture — and, most importantly, a sustainable, measurable and repeatable system.
Today Balçık, with nearly 400 colleagues, an annual output of 20 million heating elements and a presence in more than 60 countries, has become a strong production organisation and a trusted solution partner. The values that ran through every period of Süleyman Balçık’s life — creating value for the country and society, determination to develop and change, respect for labour and team spirit, and an honest, ethical outlook — remain the DNA of our company.
On the anniversary of his passing we remember our founder with respect, gratitude and longing. The journey he started continues today with the same discipline and the same sense of responsibility.
