Co-design · engineering partnership
The right element for a new appliance is rarely in a catalogue. We develop it with the OEM that builds it in – with engineers who know what a surface load means for scale, cycle life and an approval test.
The sequence of stages is fixed; the depth of each stage scales with the project. A derivative of an existing VDE-approved family moves fast, a new sheath material or sealing concept gets the full programme.
Engineering partnership
Six stages
Each stage ends with a documented result, so the next one starts from agreed facts rather than assumptions.
Medium, duty cycle, installation space, standard and markets become a requirement sheet and a first design.
Functional samples typically 2–4 weeks after drawing approval; faster for derivatives of existing designs.
Electrical safety, life and humidity tests in our validation laboratory, then tests in your appliance.
Certification support: VDE-approved families as the basis, further marks obtained per project with you.
PPAP-style sample approval, control plan, 100 % electrical test and lot traceability.
Field support, 8D failure analysis and engineering changes agreed in writing.
Inputs and outputs
Clear inputs at every stage keep a project moving – nobody waits for information the other side did not know was needed.
| Stage | You provide | We deliver | Gate |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 · Concept | Appliance description and installation space (drawing or STEP file); rated voltage, power and tolerance; medium, temperatures and dry-run risk; target standard, markets, volumes and timeline | Feasibility statement, first material and design proposal, budget quotation, project plan | Requirement sheet agreed by both sides |
| 2 · Prototype | Review of our drawing – dimensions, terminals, mounting interface; sealing requirement; special test or marking requirements | 2D drawing with tolerances, 3D model on request; design summary of surface load, wire and cold zones; samples with a measurement report per piece | Approved drawing, samples delivered |
| 3 · Validation | Appliance-level test results; test units or fixtures if a test must run in your appliance | Laboratory report: dielectric strength, insulation resistance, leakage current, life and humidity tests as agreed | Written sample approval or change request |
| 4 · Approval | Required marks and target markets; your appliance approval schedule | Check whether the design is covered by an existing VDE approval or needs an extension; documentation and test data for the test house; RoHS and REACH declarations | Approval documentation complete |
| 5 · Series | Release of the initial sample report; forecast and call-off schedule; packaging and labelling specification | PPAP-style sample documentation, control plan, capability studies, capacity plan for the ramp-up | Series release |
| 6 · After sales | Field returns and appliance data; change requests | Failure analysis with 8D reports; change notices assessed for their effect on approvals and agreed before implementation | Stable supply over the platform life |
Why it is fast
Engineering, sheath tube, forming tools and laboratory are under one roof, so most prototypes are built without waiting for outside suppliers.

Engineering
Our engineering team draws and calculates the element: 2D drawings, 3D models, surface load, wire and cold zones.

Tube
Stainless tube is roll-formed, TIG-welded and sized in our plant, so samples use the same tube as the series.

Tools
A large base of running parts means most new forms can be bent on tools and fixtures we already have.

Laboratory
Samples pass our validation laboratory before they are sent to you – with a report for every agreed test.
One team
Application engineering, our engineering team, the validation laboratory and production planning work on your project together – so the design you approve can be built and tested in series.
After release the same team stays responsible. Every change to a released drawing, material or process – including changes we initiate – is assessed for its effect on approvals and agreed with you in writing first.
Design review
Design with our technologies
Send the requirement, the installation space or the current part. The responsible engineer answers as soon as the technical details are clear – with questions, a first proposal and a project plan.
