Purchasing · supplier qualification

We buy consistency – lot after lot.

Stainless strip, resistance wire, magnesium oxide and brass, plus the terminals, beads, fittings and packaging behind an output of 20 million heating elements a year.

We look for suppliers who hold a specification, document it and can support OEM programmes in volume. This page sets out what we buy, what we require and how to apply.

What we buy

Six purchasing categories, one standard of documentation.

Direct materials go into every element and carry the strictest requirements. Indirect materials keep our rolling, filling and annealing lines running.

We are always open to competitive, high-quality and reliable alternative suppliers – in every category, from Türkiye and abroad.Apply now →

01 · Metals

Stainless strip and tube

  • Cold-rolled strip for welded tube: AISI 304, 321, 316L – bright-annealed, controlled thickness and edge condition
  • Welded and redrawn tube in the same grades, sized for roll reduction
  • Incoloy® 800 and 825 strip and tube (UNS N08800 / N08825 or equivalent)
  • Copper tube for liquid-heating elements

02 · Resistance wire

FeCrAl and NiCr wire

  • Iron-chromium-aluminium (FeCrAl) wire in heating-element grades
  • Nickel-chromium wire, NiCr 80/20 and 60/15 types
  • Agreed resistance-per-metre tolerance, specified surface condition, spool type and weight

03 · Insulation

Electrical-grade MgO

  • Fused magnesium oxide powder with a specified particle size distribution
  • Standard and silicone-treated (moisture-resistant) grades
  • Consistent purity, loss on ignition and electrical resistivity at temperature

04 · Components

Flanges, fittings and terminals

  • Brass and stainless flanges, threaded bosses (BSP / NPT) and nuts, machined or forged
  • Terminal pins, sockets, cable lugs and threaded terminals
  • Stamped brackets and mounting plates

05 · Sealing

Beads and sealing compounds

  • PTFE, PFA and silicone insulating beads
  • Ceramic (steatite) beads
  • Silicone and epoxy sealing compounds, and materials for our STF sealing process

06 · Indirect

Packaging and consumables

  • Cartons, trays and dividers in customer-specific sizes
  • Hanging bags and labels for retail-ready product
  • Industrial gases, cutting oils and maintenance parts for rolling, filling and annealing equipment

Requirements

Ten requirements, applied by category.

Not every criterion applies to every category – a packaging supplier is not asked for an EN 10204 3.1 certificate. Every material that ends up in a heating element, however, must be fully documented.

Our customers’ auditors trace each element back to its inputs, and we inspect every incoming material lot before it reaches the line.

RequirementWhat we expect
Quality managementISO 9001 certification preferred; otherwise a documented, auditable quality system with calibration records and corrective-action handling.
Material certificatesEN 10204 type 3.1 with every strip, tube and wire delivery; certificate of analysis with every MgO lot – values against the agreed specification.
TraceabilityHeat or batch number on every packaging unit, matching the certificate – so each element can be traced back to its raw-material lot.
Chemical complianceRoHS (2011/65/EU as amended by (EU) 2015/863) and REACH SVHC declarations backed by accredited-laboratory test reports, renewed when the candidate list or the material changes.
Initial samples (PPAP-style)Dimensional report against the drawing, material certificate, test results, process flow and control plan. Series deliveries start only after written sample approval.
Change controlNo change of material source, process, sub-supplier or production site without prior written notice and, where required, re-qualification.
DeliveryOn-time delivery against confirmed dates, correct quantities and labelling; capacity for call-off schedules and changing forecasts.
Conflict mineralsOrigin statement for tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold where relevant (brass alloys, solders, plating), following the OECD due-diligence guidance.
Environment and safetyCompliance with environmental and occupational safety law; Energy and emission data for our carbon-footprint work.
Business ethicsNo child, forced or bonded labour (ILO core conventions); no bribes, kickbacks or improper gifts – our buyers accept nothing beyond token value; drawings, specifications and volumes stay confidential under NDA.

Qualification process

Six steps from application to approved supplier.

Approval is per item, not per company: a new grade or dimension goes through sample qualification and trial lots again.

  1. Application

Company profile, product range, certificates and markets served – through the online application below or by e-mail to purchasing.

  2. Document review

Certificates, RoHS/REACH declarations, a specimen 3.1 certificate and your change-control procedure. Gaps are discussed before samples.

  3. Sample qualification

Laboratory tests plus a process trial: strip welded and rolled, wire coiled and filled, MgO compacted and measured at temperature.

  4. Trial lots

Limited production lots under tightened incoming inspection and process monitoring.

  5. Approved supplier

Entered in our ERP as approved for the specific material and specification.

  6. Annual evaluation

Scored on quality (PPM, complaints), delivery, documentation, responsiveness and total cost.

How to apply

Send your documents to purchasing – not to sales.

Attach your company presentation, quality certificates and – for materials – a typical inspection certificate and your RoHS/REACH declaration. Please do not send price lists before the document review: we request quotations for defined specifications.
